Assessment
What is a psychotechnical assessment?
It is the measurement of the mental and psychomotor abilities that allow a driver to operate a vehicle safely. Testing is done on a computer-assisted device and the results are interpreted by a psychologist. It is not an intelligence test — what is measured is how your specific abilities compare with normative values.
Reaction speed
How quickly and how accurately you respond to an unexpected stimulus.
Attention and concentration
Sustaining focus and selecting the correct stimulus among distractions.
Speed and distance estimation
Judging the speed and distance of an approaching vehicle.
Visual perception
Distinguishing a target shape or sign within a complex image.
Hand-eye-foot coordination
Using steering, gears and pedals in a coordinated way.
Reasoning and decision making
Making fast and correct decisions in rule-based traffic situations.

Requirement
Who must undergo a psychotechnical assessment?
Two main groups: those who need it periodically for their profession, and those whose driving licence has been withdrawn after traffic offences. Each item below cites its legal basis.
Ticari araç şoförleri ve kuryeler

Yaygın bilinenin aksine ikinci kezde psikoteknik istenmez: beş yıl içinde ikinci kez belgesi geri alınan sürücüler sürücü davranışlarını geliştirme eğitimine tabi tutulur. Psiko-teknik değerlendirme ve psikiyatri uzmanı muayenesi, üç veya daha fazla kez geri alınanlar için zorunludur.

İlk 100 puanda belge 2 ay geri alınır ve sürücü eğitime tabi tutulur; psikoteknik istenmez. Aynı yıl içinde ikinci kez 100 puanı dolduranların belgesi 4 ay geri alınır ve psiko-teknik değerlendirme ile psikiyatri muayenesi zorunlu hâle gelir. Üçüncü kezde belge süresiz iptal edilir.

12 Şubat 2026 tarihli değişiklikle getirildi. Bir yıl içinde kırmızı ışık ihlalini üç, dört veya beş kez yapanların belgesi sırasıyla 30, 60 ve 90 gün geri alınır; belge ancak psiko-teknik değerlendirmeden geçilmesi şartıyla iade edilir. Altıncı ihlalde belge iptal edilir.

Bir yıl içinde hız ihlali nedeniyle sürücü belgesi beşinci kez geri alınan sürücülerin belgesi, geri alma süresi sonunda psiko-teknik değerlendirmeden ve psikiyatri uzmanı muayenesinden geçirilmesi şartıyla iade edilir.

Belge iptal edilir ve yeniden alabilmek için sürücü kursuna devam edip sınavda başarılı olmak gerekir. Kursa başlayabilmek için iptalden itibaren en az beş yıl geçmesi, cezaların tamamının ödenmiş olması ve psiko-teknik değerlendirmeden geçilmesi zorunludur.

Ölümle sonuçlanan trafik kazalarına asli kusurlu olarak sebebiyet veren sürücülerin belgeleri bir yıl süreyle geri alınır. Sürecin devamında ve adli aşamada psiko-teknik değerlendirme raporu talep edilebilir.

The process has four steps. You do not need to come on an empty stomach and you should not stop regular medication — just tell us at registration. If you need an interpreter, let us know when booking.

Değerlendirme ve rapor
Sonuçlar norm değerlerle karşılaştırılır, rapor psikolog tarafından e-imzayla düzenlenir ve Sağlık Bakanlığı sistemine işlenir. Raporunuzu e-Devlet'ten de görebilirsiniz.
What to bring

- Glasses or lenses if you use them
- Official notice from the traffic department, if your licence was withdrawn
After receiving your report you must see a psychiatrist within forty-five days; if you miss this deadline you cannot retake the test for six months.

Interpreter support for foreign nationals
We provide interpreter support for foreign national drivers and migrant workers in Turkey. By regulation the reasoning section is measured with a non-verbal test, so your language does not affect that result. The interpreter is there so that test instructions and the interview with the psychologist are understood correctly — preventing a low result caused by a language barrier rather than by ability.

Frequently asked questions
How long is the certificate valid?
For professional drivers the report is renewed every five years under the Road Transport Regulation, art. 34/1-e. In licence reinstatement procedures a current report requested by the traffic department is required instead.
I am a foreign national. Can I take the test?
Yes. What matters is your driving licence and your residence or work permit. The reasoning section is measured with a non-verbal test by law, so language does not affect that part. For the instructions and the interview we provide interpreter support — please tell us your language when booking.
Which languages do you support?
We regularly work with Arabic, English and German. For other languages we can usually arrange an interpreter if you let us know in advance.
How soon must I see a psychiatrist afterwards?
Within forty-five days. Those who do not apply within this period are not admitted to the test again for six months.
What happens if the result is negative?
You may object to the provincial health directorate within thirty days. If you object you are referred to another centre and the second report prevails. If you do not object within thirty days you cannot retake the test for two years.
Can I check my certificate online?
Yes. The report is signed electronically and registered in the Ministry of Health system. On e-Devlet you can view it and download a barcoded copy.
I am not good with computers. Is that a disadvantage?
No. The tests use a dedicated response panel and pedals rather than a keyboard, and every test starts with a practice round.
How much does it cost?
Prices are updated annually and vary by assessment type. Please call or write on WhatsApp for the current fee.
Gözlük veya işitme cihazı kullanıyorum, sorun olur mu?
Olmaz. Günlük hayatta araç kullanırken neyi kullanıyorsanız testte de onu kullanın; ölçüm gerçek sürüş koşullarını yansıtmalıdır.
Kişilik ve öfke testinden kalınır mı?
Hayır. Yönetmelik bu testlerin sonucunun, sürücüde güvenli sürücülük farkındalığı yaratmak amacıyla merkezde yapılacak eğitimde ve genel değerlendirmede kullanılacağını yazar. Tek başına belge vermeye ya da vermemeye esas alınmaz.
Sonuçlar kimlerle paylaşılıyor?
Raporlar elektronik sistemde on yıl süreyle saklanır. Kayıtlar KVKK kapsamındadır; rapor size ve yasal olarak talep etmeye yetkili kurumlara açıktır.
Ücret ne kadar?
Ücret her yıl güncellenir ve değerlendirme türüne göre değişebilir. Yönetmelik merkezlerin belirlenen asgari ücretin altında fiyat uygulamasını yasaklar; "kampanyalı" çok düşük fiyatlar bu yüzden uyarı işaretidir. Güncel tutarı telefonla ya da WhatsApp'tan öğrenebilirsiniz.
